Electrical battery disconnector (EOB) is an electrical device that always allows disconnection of the car battery from remaining electrical network of the vehicle (except for the tachograph). It works both as a battery disconnector when putting a vehicle out of operation and as an emergency disconnector in case of an accident or a fire hazard, for example at the failure of any electrical device of the vehicle.

Protection class and others parameters of the electrical battery disconnector are designed to comply with requirements of the European Convention on the International Road Transport of Hazardous Articles (ADR).

Electrical battery disconnector is primarily designated for usage in the vehicles intended for operation according to the ADR convention.

The specific type EOB 001 is designated for the vehicles with 24 V nominal voltage of the electrical system with either the negative pole or the positive pole earthed to a vehicle frame (needs to be specified).
